History

Aussie Station soft opened with Walkabout Way on June 13, 2010, with the official opening a day later. The location had artifacts, information and also featured occasional animal encounters.

In the Fall of 2011, the lawn outside Aussie Station was used as a pumpkin patch, with the structure itself used for painting them. Animal ambassadors returned after Thanksgiving.

In Spring 2012, Aussie Station was used as the meet and greet location for the Easter Bunny. April 7, 2012 was the last day that season to meet the Easter Bunny.

In the Fall of 2012, Aussie Station and the lawn nearby once again became a pumpkin patch beginning October 5. Guests could purchase pumpkins and paint them. Activities also included a children’s hay maze, games, kids crafts, and special visits from The Count and Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street Safari of Fun. Several fall themed photo ops were available. Pumpkins could be sent to Package Pickup at the front of the park. Activities were available daily from park open until sun down.
