The new Hippo Insider Tour takes guests behind the scenes at the hippopotamus habitat in Edge of Africa.
History
The Hippo Insider Tour was introduced in early December 2020, with the first tour taking place on December 18. The tour was offered daily through January 3, then changed to being offered Thursdays through Sundays through the end of March 2021. The price ranged from $29.99 to $39.99 depending on the date selected with pass member discounts available. Guests had to be age eight or above to enjoy the tour.
Although a new tour in the park’s lineup, guests previously had the opportunity to get up close and go behind the scenes of the hippo habitat as part of the Heart of Africa Tour, which did not return after the extended closure in the spring of 2020.
