Busch Gardens Tampa advertises in many ways, including brochures that can often be found at visitor centers and hotels throughout Florida. From simple two-panel cards to more elaborate multi-panel fold-out brochures, they are a fun way to look back at the park throughout the years and see what the park was promoting.

1960s – Late

This eight-panel brochure is undated, but based on what it advertises, it appears to be from the late 1960s. Special thanks to “Stingray” Tom for donating this brochure.

 


1970

This six-panel brochure includes a map of the park across three panels and promotes the new Boma area scheduled to open in June of that year.

1974 – Spring

This 10-panel brochure from early 1974 features a map spanning four panels, along with great descriptions of many of the attractions, food & beverage options, shops, and entertainment. Also of note is the last panel, which describes the expansion underway at the park.


1976 – September

This four-panel brochure includes a map of the park across two panels showing the new Python roller coaster, which officially opened on July 1st of that year.





1977

This four-panel brochure has a few minor changes from the previous version, including the addition of Claw Island and Swinging Vines to the map. Those attractions opened in late July 1977.


1985

This large fold-out brochure with a total of 12 panels features a park map, descriptions of many of the attractions, entertainment, dining and shopping options, as well as some details on the company’s recycling program.


1986

This 1986-1987 Passport Club card features a perforation so the top part can be detached and easily carried by the bearer.





2015

This two-sided rack card with a copyright date of 2015 was found in a hotel lobby display in late 2016 in Orlando, and features details on the complimentary shuttle service to the park from several Orlando area stops.


2016

A two sided rack card displayed in Orlando area hotels featuring Mako at SeaWorld and Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens.


2016

A four-panel brochure for Howl-O-Scream including a listing of the houses and event dates.


2017

A two-sided rack card was handed out to guests the last week of December 2017, promoting the new Three Kings Celebrations beginning January 1, 2018. One side is in English, and the other is in Spanish.
