The Real Music Series returned in early 2018 with a new name – Real Music, Real Masters – and kept the longest-running concert series going with some fresh acts beyond just musical performances.
The series returned to Stanleyville Theater for a total of eight weeks beginning on January 8, 2018. The lineup:
- Week of January 8 – Cirque Vertigo featuring The Wallenda Duo
- Week of January 15 – Michael Cavanaugh Performing the Music of Billy Joel and Elton John
- Week of January 22 – The Diamonds
- Week of January 29 – Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone
- Week of February 5 – Pam Tillis
- Week of February 12 – Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA
- Week of February 19 – Magic Moments featuring Leonard, Coleman & Blunt: Lead singers from The Temptations, Drifters and Platters
- Week of February 26– Rhythm in the Night, the Irish Dance Spectacular
History
Although not listed with other returning events online, Busch Gardens did confirm in August of 2017 the series would return in early 2018.
A press release issued October 30, 2017, detailed the series return along with a new name – Real Music, Real Masters. Expanding beyond just musical acts with genres ranging from the 1950s to today, the series added in other performances including dancing and a cirque show.
Additional details on Real Music, Real Masters may be added in the future.
